Disposable Plastic Blues

O'Neill Sea Odyssey is proud to share this short video our Watsonville Charter School students made, called "Disposable Plastic Blues". It's an original song about rethinking and reducing disposable plastic use and has been shown at the Watsonville Film Festival and at the First Friday Santa Cruz event earlier this month. For display at that event, Jennifer Gill's students created a 12-foot tall diatom mobile out of plastic debris.

They already knew first hand what diatoms look like because of the O’Neill Sea Odyssey program!

Thank you, Watsonville Charter School students, for creatively spreading the word about plastic use. Your message and efforts have a big impact in our community and beyond. You are truly Ocean Stewards!
